City Staff presents FY 2017-18 Budget
City of Pearland staff present the Fiscal Year 2018 Proposed Budget. The FY18 Proposed Budget contains more than $280 million in revenues and expenditures over 39 funds. Major items in this year’s budget include adding additional staffing in Police, Fire, Public Works, Information Technology and Community Development, as well as providing funding for major projects like the Delores Fenwick Nature Center, Independence Park and $1.1 million in funding for the City’s street maintenance program.
The first budget meeting on the proposed Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Public Safety Building located at 2555 Cullen Pkwy., Pearland, Texas 77584. The budget presentation is the first of several months of City Council budget meetings, workshops, and public hearings, before the City Council adopts a budget in September.
The meeting on Aug. 12 and all budget meetings and workshops will be available for on-demand viewing at pearlandtx.gov/councilvideos.
