Reminder: Fireworks are not allowed in city limits
With the 4th of July approaching, the City of Pearland Fire Department would like to remind residents that open burning and the use of fireworks are strictly prohibited in the city limits of Pearland and surrounding Extraterritorial Jurisdiction, which includes all areas normally serviced by the Pearland Fire Department. The use of prohibited fireworks and open burning in these areas is a Class C misdemeanor carrying a fine up to $2000 per violation.
Pearland residents are encouraged to view the fireworks display at the City’s annual Celebration of Freedom event at the Pearland High School Stadium on July 4th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The free, family-friendly event includes live music and a state of the art fireworks display.
