City Hall Annex closing early Friday

Post Date:08/09/2017 2:10 p.m.

The City Hall Annex will be closing at 4 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 11 to accommodate electrical work that is being done as part of the City Hall Remodeling Project. Residents should plan ahead if they need to meet with staff currently housed in the Annex - Water Billing & Collections, Planning, Permits or Inspections, Human Resources or the City Secretary before the weekend. Residents can also use TRAKiT through the City’s website, a 24/7 access portal where applicants can submit plans and check their status, pay fees, schedule inspections and more.

The move is part of the $6.1 million City Hall Complex Renovation Project to renovate and update the 30-year-old facility that includes City Hall and the Annex on Liberty Drive. The renovation of the complex has been part of the Capital Improvement Plan since 2009 and Phase I construction began in December 2016. This phase includes the replacement of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems for both City Hall and the Annex building and the interior build out of the eastern half of the Annex.

City offices and Community Development will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, August 14. For more information on City closures and holidays, please visit the City’s online calendar or call 281.652.1731.
