The Centennial Park construction project is on track to be completed next month. Contractors working on the $2.8 million project have run water lines, excavated the detention pond, and installed pole foundations for field lighting. Centennial Park currently houses practice fields for soccer with equipment, irrigation and lighting. Phase 2 includes the removal of these structures to construct two new, lighted softball fields, sidewalks, utilities, storm drainage and additional parking for the complex, with plans for restroom facilities in the future. The adjacent Fite Road project will provide direct access to the park.

Since the completion of Hickory Slough, this project has been aimed at providing a primary location for the Park’s Girls’ Softball program. The Adult Softball program will soon be moved to the Shadow Creek Ranch Sports Complex.
