The $550,000 construction contract for Phase 2 of the Trail Connectivity Project was approved by Pearland City Council.  Phase 2 includes the installation of a concrete trail, crosswalks, grade stabilization, seating areas, fabric shade structures, graphic bands and signs, a drinking fountain, benches and landscaping.

Phase 2 of the Trail Connectivity project was included in the 2013-2017 CIP with the aim to construct a segment of trail that connects Centennial Park to Independence Park and provides an important link in the system for pedestrian and bicycle use between the two regional parks. The phase is expected to be complete by May 2018.

The City of Pearland's connectivity trail system is ever-expanding, and continues to present exciting opportunities to tie-in with, and become a part of, the greater Houston alternative transportation network. Themed areas of trails, exciting amenities and attractive trail heads continue to encourage and promote environmentally-friendly modes of transportation.
