Removal of debris in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has been completed citywide. To date, the City has removed 54,692 cubic yards of debris. Ceres Environmental (the city’s contractor), City staff and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) were instrumental were key in reaching this completion milestone. Any debris that is placed in the right of way (ROW) moving forward will be removed and completed by contacting Public Works at 281.652.1900, emailing 1900@pearlandtx.gov or submitting a request through the Connect2Pearland app. This will allow city staff to schedule personnel and create a route to complete work orders in the most efficient manner possible. As of this date, there is no remaining commercial debris in the ROW, but there are a few businesses that have debris in front of their storefront on private property, and appear to be in the process of removing that debris. These businesses have been provided information on available assistance options. 

The City's debris contractor will no longer be picking up storm debris. All new construction debris disposal is the homeowner's responsibility. Any new green waste/vegetation should be cut and bundled according to Waste Management guidelines. Household hazardous waste can be taken to Stella Roberts Recycling Center (5800 Magnolia St., Pearland, Texas 77584).
