The City of Pearland Parks and Recreation Department will host it’s annual Hometown Christmas Festivities on Friday, Dec. 1 & Saturday, Dec. 2. The events are free and open to the public.
Start off the holiday season with the City’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Pearland Town Center, located at 11200 Broadway. Watch the Town Center light up with holiday cheer and enjoy activities including horse and carriage rides sponsored by the University of Houston Clear Lake - Pearland Campus. At the event, Breakfast At Tiffany’s will provide live holiday music on the Westside Veterinary Hospital Entertainment Stage. And be sure and stop by the H-E-B Winter Wonderland, complete with two snow play areas and snow tubing hills. Also, no Christmas event would be complete without a visit from everybody’s favorite jolly ole Santa Claus. The Pearland Town Center festivities continue on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. with the Holiday Gift Market, swing by and check out local performances and enjoy cookies with Santa and more.
On Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m., join us for the City’s 34th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is the “12 Days of Christmas”. The parade starts at FM 518 at Old Alvin Road and travels east toward Pearland Parkway. For more information, visit pearlandtx.gov/parade.
