City Council brings on Adrian Hernandez and Mayor declares July National Parks & Recreation Month
During a special meeting of the City Council on Monday, June 25 Adrian Hernandez was sworn on to the City Council. Adrian Hernandez was voted into the Councilmember Position No. 4 during the runoff election that was held on Saturday, June 16. Hernandez’s term as Councilmember will last until 2021.
Also during the regular meeting of the City Council, the Mayor declared July as the National Parks and Recreation Month. Throughout all of July, the Parks & Recreation Department will be celebrating the theme of “A Lifetime of Discovery” by highlighting parks programs around the city.
The Parks & Recreation Department will also be hosting our Celebration of Freedom on Wednesday, July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Pearland High School, located at 3775 S. Main St.
