Mayor Tom Reid represented the City of Pearland in an important round table discussion with elected officials about flood protection.
The focus of the discussion related to improving flooding by investing significantly in drainage projects with the recent appropriation of Federal funds.
The Army Corps of Engineers allocated $295 million to the Clear Creek Watershed project, which will provide much needed enhancements to Clear Creek from 288 to Dixie Farm Road that will provide improvements for the directly adjacent area and the entire watershed downstream as well.
