Fire Chief Vance Riley was sworn in as Vice Chairman in the EMS Section of IAFC
PEARLAND, TEXAS – August 22, 2018 – On Friday, August 10 Pearland Fire Chief Vance Riley was sworn in as Vice Chair of the EMS Section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) at the Fire-Rescue International Conference in Dallas, Texas.
The IAFC Emergency Medical Service Section:
- Is a forum that addresses fire service EMS issues
- Provides guidance and direction to the IAFC board and membership on fire service EMS issues
- Represents fire-based EMS issues to the federal government and other interest groups
With over 1,600 members, the EMS Section is one of the IAFC’s largest and offers a wealth of resources to members and the EMS community
Chief Riley will serve a 2 year term along with Sec/Treas. Chad Deardorff, Asst. Chief, York, PA and Member At Large Chief Chris Shimer, (ret.). All were sworn in by Fire Chief Gary Ludwig, Champain Illinois, 1st Vice President of the IAFC
