City of Pearland Issues Additional Park Restrictions
The following areas are Impacted: playgrounds, courts, restrooms, pavilions, and dog parks
The City continues to work with local, regional, and state partners to monitor COVID-19 and keep the Pearland Community safe and informed. The Emergency Management group including the Incident Management Team and City Departments, with guidance from the Texas Department of Health Services (DSHS), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), have been planning and changing how staff, facilities, equipment, and services operate in this rapidly evolving situation to continue providing services to our community while keeping residents and employees safe.
In an effort to further promote social distancing and flatten the curve of COVID-19, effective Friday, April 10, 2020 until further notice, the City's parks will be closing the following areas:
- Dog parks
The city encourages the use of the trail systems and green spaces that are open, but still actively mandate social distancing measures of a minimum of 6 feet between individuals.
