The City of Pearland is pleased to partner with AM TRACE to develop guidance on the safest ways to move the community forward during the current COVID-19 pandemic. AM TRACE will work with all departments in the City Government to help the city make the safest choices possible for the Pearland community.

Leaders at the City of Pearland have been working with public health services agency, AM TRACE, to enhance understanding of how to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the Pearland community and determine how to safely reopen services and businesses. As the City of Pearland prepares to reopen nonessential services and facilities, it is of the utmost importance to inform the plan and procedures with the most current and relevant information. Over the next three months, Pearland leadership will be working with public health experts to learn more about how COVID-19 is affecting the City. As the State of Texas moves to reopen, our children return to school, and our facilities reopen, the City’s partnership with AM TRACE will provide an objective interpretation of data and research allowing city staff to make the safest recommendations in mitigating the impact of this disease.

Through this partnership, Pearland residents can expect to receive the most up-to-date information on the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on the Pearland community. Pearland residents can also be assured that the City will be able to take steps toward normalcy in day-to-day operations while maintaining the health and safety of those who live, work, and play in Pearland. “It can be difficult to navigate through the vast amount of information on COVID-19. Our goal in this partnership is to help the city of Pearland to use timely and evidence-based information to guide decision making and best protect the health of all members of the Pearland community and beyond,” said TRACE Chief Operating Officer Erin Thames.
