What Code Compliance Does

The City of Pearland uses Codes and Ordinances to help keep our community safe, healthy, and clean. Code Compliance makes sure that homes and businesses are cared for in a way that protects neighborhoods and supports property values.   

Code Compliance Officers play a key role in maintaining community standards related to:

• Unsafe or damaged buildings
• Zoning, signage, and use violations 
• High grass and weeds
• Trash, debris, and illegal dumping
• Junk items or other nuisance issues
• Investigate complaints from the public
