Permits Required: Construction permits are required to build a new structure, add an addition to an existing structure, remodel an existing structure, repair an existing structure or work on the mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing systems associated with a structure.  Permits are only required for projects on private property within the city limits of Pearland. To find out if you are within the city limits you can search your address in our GIS Map by following the link below.  If you are still unable to determine if you are within the city limits or you are not sure if your proposed use will be compliant please follow the link below to our Planning Department page for additional information or call 281.652.1765.  The permits and inspections process will ensure your project is in substantial compliance with city ordinances and help to protect your investment.

Obtaining a Permit:  The City of Pearland uses eTRAKiT for its online permitting process.  Through eTRAKiT you can register as a contractor which will allow you to submit permit applications, up load plans for review, follow review comments, print your permit after approval, schedule inspections, view inspection results and pay all applicable fees.  You can access eTRAKiT by following the Permits and Applications link below to our Community Development web portal page.  

Homeowners:  Applications can be found by following the Online Forms link below.  You can submit completed applications and pay all fees in person at the Permit Counter located at 3523 Liberty Dr., Pearland, TX 77581.  To schedule inspections or to find out additional information please call 281.652.1638.
