Permits Required:

The Permits and Inspections Division oversee construction and development activities on private property within the City of Pearland. The permitting and inspection process ensures that your project substantially complies with city codes and ordinances, protecting both your investment and the community. A construction permit is required for the following types of work:

  • Building a new structure
  • Adding an addition to an existing structure
  • Remodeling an existing structure
  • Repairing an existing structure
  • Performing work on mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems associated with a structure
  • Installation of Vent Hood Type I or II.
