Note to Owners:

• Special inspections (same-day or after-hours) may be available for an additional fee, subject to inspector availability.

• All inspection requests must be submitted through CityWorks by 4:00 p.m. to be scheduled for the next business day.
• Requests received after 4:00 p.m. will be scheduled within two business days.
• Exceptions: Owner-occupied electrical and gas reconnects only: inspection requests are accepted until 12:00 p.m. the day of the inspection by calling 281.652.1638.

Inspectors schedule their routes each morning based on demand. This means specific appointment times are not given or guaranteed. If a specific time is needed, please call our office, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

• A green sticker indicates the inspection has been approved.
• A red sticker indicates the inspection was not approved, along with a list of required corrections.
• Stickers will be placed near the front door of the structure or another designated location if provided.
• Results are also posted online in CityWorks and can be viewed by the permit holder at the end of the day.

Cancellations may be requested by calling 281.652.1638 up until the inspection has been made. Once completed, any re-inspection fees must be paid before scheduling additional inspections.
