Scope: Construct a permanent County Library facility on the west side consisting of approximately 39,000 square feet, using space requirements and usage information similar to that developed for the renovations to the Tom Reid Library. Other features include: specialized chill water systems, exterior security lighting, and specialized library furnishings.
The facility will be located on a 3.2 acre site owned by the City on Shadow Creek Parkway west of Kirby Drive. There is potential for collaboration with Brazoria County to move the tax office from the Public Safety Building to this site.
