The budget provides the financial framework for all city activities during a twelve month period, called a fiscal year, which begins October 1st for the City of Pearland. The City Charter requires the City Manager to prepare a budget for each fiscal year. The budget sets forth the funding for services, programs, and activities of the various city departments, and must meet all fund requirements provided by law and required by bond covenants. The Annual Budget must also include a multi-year capital improvement program.
The Fiscal year 2020 Budget was adopted by City Council on September 23, 2019. The final Adopted Budget will be posted here when it is ready to publish. In the meantime, all the details on what is in the budget can be found on the FY20 Budget Development page.
