It is the responsibility of the Purchasing Division to conduct the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies and services necessary for City departments to perform their respective functions in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code, the Pearland City Charter and the City of Pearland Purchasing Policy.  The Purchasing Division provides an ongoing supply of quality goods and services to all city offices and is committed to maximizing the taxpayer’s dollar while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, integrity, public trust and transparency.   The City uses an internet based bid service, Ion Wave, to support its transparency efforts by providing real-time information on open bids and requests for proposals, and the ability to view bid tabulations and award information.
