In accordance with the Texas Local Government Code, the Pearland City Charter and the City of Pearland Purchasing Policy, the Purchasing Division conducts the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies and services necessary for City departments to perform their respective functions

The Purchasing Division:

• provides an ongoing supply of quality goods and services to all city offices
• is committed to maximizing the taxpayers' dollar
• maintains the highest standards of ethics, integrity, public trust and transparency.

Using Ion Wave, an internet-based bid service, the Purchasing Divisions supports its transparency efforts by providing real-time information on open bids and requests for proposals, and the ability to view bid tabulations and award information.
