The Fire Marshal's Office provides the leadership and inspection services to help prevent fires and assure fire and life safety for people who live, work and visit in Pearland.
The Fire Marshal's Office is committed to providing you with the most comprehensive assistance and information possible. Our page is designed to inform you on guidelines, inspections, investigations, permit applications, fire and life safety education programs and useful forms and publications.
The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for the protection of life and property through code enforcement, plans review, fire inspections, and fire cause determination.
Fire Marshal's Office Duty Overview
- Inspections: Coordinate and conduct fire and life safety inspections
- Fire Investigations: Conduct fire cause determination, criminal investigations, and arrest and prosecute violators
- Plan Reviews: Reviews all plans to ensure businesses are safe and code compliant prior to opening to the public.
Important Notice - Online Portal | Cityworks
As of January 2025, all permits, inspections, plans submittals, and fee processing has moved to the Cityworks platform. Please apply for and manage your commercial, operating, and fire permits through Cityworks. A video library of helpful how-to tips is available on the portal's login page for your review. To start, you will need to create/register an account. Once created, you'll receive a confirmation email that's required to verify registration.
