Youth Development offers a variety of programs for early childhood, youth and teens. These programs include categories of education, hobbies & special interest, and health & fitness. A few examples of these quality programs are Wiggles & Giggles, Ballet/Tap, and Bricks 4 Kidz. Staple programs such as summer camps and Adventure Days are also offered by the division.

Camp Handbook

Camp KIA (Kids in Action)
Cost: $150 resident/ $187.50 non-resident
Age: 6 to 10 years
Location: Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Road

Let your kids experience the active, carefree, safe and supportive summer experience every child desires. Camp KIA (Kids In Action) is designed for kids who are seeking a well-rounded camp experience. We offer a safe, supportive environment where campers feel comfortable trying new activities and building new skills. Each camper should bring a sack lunch and two snacks each day to camp. Camp KIA is designed for children that are entering grades 1 - 5. Each camp session will include one field trip, scheduled on Wednesdays, and two pool days, scheduled each Tuesday afternoon at the Outdoor Pool and Friday morning at the Natatorium. This program is not licensed by the state; however it does follow Standards of Care.  Camp Registration begins 2nd Monday in February.  

Camp Mahalo
Cost: $150 resident/ $187.50 non-resident
Age: 11 - 14 years
Location: Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Road

In Camp Mahalo, participants will develop skills that last a lifetime, build confidence in their own skills and abilities, and enhance their motivation to make things happen. Participants will also have fun socializing with peers while learning how to be a better leader! Camp Mahalo is designed for children that are entering grades 6 - 9.  Each camp session will include one field trip scheduled on Thursdays, and two-pool day scheduled each Wednesday afternoon at the Outdoor Pool and Friday morning at the Natatorium. This program is not licensed by the state; however it does follow Standards of Care.  Camp Registration begins 2nd Monday in February.
