WOW! The 50 volunteers for Celebration of Freedom were phenomenal!!! We received many kudos to the volunteers for making the event run smoothly- even if some of you had to work several duties. We couldn't have done it without you!

Delores Fenwick Nature Center
Nature Center Volunteers 
Delores Fenwick Nature Center, 5750 Magnolia Pkwy., Pearland 77584 
Date: Saturdays
10 a.m. to 12 noon and/or 12 noon to 2 p.m. 
Details: Volunteers will be responsible for working on a variety of projects such as organizing spaces, working with crafts, maintaining the Pollinator Garden and monitoring wildlife.Please see the Natural Resources Workday below for additional projects.

Trick or Treat Trail

Location: Independence Park, 3449 Pearland Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77581 
Date: Thurs, Oct 31
Shift: 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. SHIFT FULL
Details:  A group of volunteers will assist first with decorating, then some may be working the spook-tac-ular tunnel area, a small group will move from the tunnel to help with the costume contest and finally everyone will breakdown some supplies and the volunteer tent. We will be decorating inside the tunnel in Independence Park with light up spooky stuff and inflatable items. Volunteers will be working at the "Tag Your Tot" tent to help families keep track of their children. Costumes are strongly encouraged, however, they must be “family friendly” and not too scary or inappropriate for the little kiddos.

Tree Lighting

Location: Independence Park, 3449 Pearland Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77581 
Date: Fri, Dec. 6
Shift: 6:15 p.m. 10:15 p.m. tentatively. 
Details: Volunteers will assist with carriage rides, photography, entertainment, volunteer tent, snow hills and play areas! Costumes are welcome if they aren't scary or inappropriate.

TAAF/Winter Games of Texas

Location: Various locations in Pearland (locations to be determined in coming months) 
Date: Sat-Mon, Jan 18-20, 2020 (3 days!)
Shift: varies with sport
Details: Athletes from all over Texas will compete in 15 sports during the holiday weekend. Parks & Recreation will host 4 sports and volunteers will help with scoring, posting scores, organizing athletes before competition, volunteer check in, etc.

Date: Sat, Jan 25, 2020
Shift 1: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm     Shift 2: 12:45 pm to 5:30 pm 
Details: Come join the fun in Pearland's famous winter playground with snow hills, rides, inflatables, games, and more!

You must be 18 yrs. old. Location, dates and shifts are dependent on each event's details.

Event Volunteer Photographer
Details: Location, dates and shifts are dependent on each event’s details. A shot list of requested photos will be provided for each event. Photographer must be able to use their own camera with an SD card. Registered volunteers, please contact pwiley@pearlandtx.gov for an interview and more details. Not registered? See "Application" to your left to register with the online "General Application."  

Natural Resources Volunteer Workday 

Location: Varies 
Date: First Thursday of each month
Shift: 8 to 11 a.m.
