WOW! The 50 volunteers for Celebration of Freedom were phenomenal!!! We received many kudos to the volunteers for making the event run smoothly- even if some of you had to work several duties. We couldn't have done it without you!

Delores Fenwick Nature Center
Nature Center Volunteers 
Delores Fenwick Nature Center, 5750 Magonlia Pkwy., Pearland 77584 
Date: Saturdays starting May 18, 2019
10 a.m. to 12 noon and/or 12 noon to 2 p.m. 
Details: Volunteers will be responsible for working on a variety of projects such as organizing spaces, working with crafts, maintaining the Pollinator Garden and monitoring wildlife.Please see the Natural Resources Workday below for additional projects.

RCN Court Monitors
Location: Recreation Center, 4141 Bailey Rd, Pearland, 77584
Dates and Shifts: June-August, Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 1 to 3 p.m. or 4 to 7 p.m.
Dates and Shifts: June-August: Wednesdays, 6 to 9 p.m.
Dates and Shifts: June-August: Saturdays and Sundays, 12 to 3 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m.
Details: Run scores for basketball. Training to run the scores will be provided by staff. Registered volunteers, please contact PWiley@pearlandtx.gov for a quick interview. Not registered? Click on the "Application" link to your left and fill out the General Application. 


RCN Facility Monitors
Location: Recreation Center, 4141 Bailey Rd, Pearland 77584
Dates and Shift: June-August, Monday through Friday, 2 to 4 pm. or 6 to 8 p.m.
Dates and Shift: June-August, Saturdays and Sundays, 1 to 3 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.
Details: 2 volunteers needed per shift to assist with room counts, straightening weight room, monitoring courts and track, ensuring doors are locked, and providing guest customer service. Sign up for one shift per week or several. Contact Pat Wiley if you are interested. If you are not registered, please see Application Process & Policies on the left hand side of this page.




Location: Delores Fenwick Nature Center, 5750 Magonlia Pkwy., Pearland 77584
Date: Sat, Sept 21
Shift: 7:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. tentatively
Details: Volunteers will assist with registration, help time the the activities such as "fill a mug, ride a tandem bike and walk on caterpillar boards, and where ever this wacky event needs you. The event proceeds will enhance the proposed habitats, educational programs and amenities for the Nature Center.

Volunteers Impact Parks (VIP)
You must be 18 yrs. old. Location, dates and shifts are dependent on each event's details.

Event Volunteer Photographer
Details: Location, dates and shifts are dependent on each event’s details. A shot list of requested photos will be provided for each event. Photographer must be able to use their own camera with an SD card. Registered volunteers, please contact pwiley@pearlandtx.gov for an interview and more details. Not registered? Natural Resources Volunteer Workday 

Location: Varies 
Date: First Thursday of each month
Shift: 8 to 11 a.m.
