The Community Outreach Division is under the command of Captain Onesimo Lopez. The division currently has four full time Community Outreach Officers.

  • Officer Z. Davis has been with the Pearland Police Department since 2002. Officer Davis oversees the Teen Citizens Police Academy, Pearland Guardian Program, Special Events, and Youth Outreach.
  • Officer C. Rogers has been with the Pearland Police Department since 2005. Officer Rogers is in charge of the department's Citizens Police Academy and acts as the principal liaison with the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.  Additionally, Officer Rogers is in charge of the department's Faith Based Outreach program - Thrive.
  • Officer J. Wells has been with the Pearland Police Department since 2002. Officer Wells oversees the Senior Outreach program, serves as the liaison with Apartment Managers and Civic Organizations and acts as the primary Public Information Officer for the Pearland Police Department.
  • Officer R. Cohen has been with the Pearland Police Department since 2008.  Officer Cohen is in charge of the department’s Explorer Program and oversees relationships with Home Owner Associations and local area businesses. 

All four Community Outreach Officers are available for presentations to the public on a host of Crime Reduction Topics. By building a strong partnership with the citizens of Pearland, as well as with civic organizations, community leaders, school officials, students, and local businesses, the Community Outreach Division meets the law enforcement needs of the community. Community Policing is more than just a term to our department, it is a philosophy.

NOTE: The Community Outreach Division does NOT serve as a coordinator of Community Service assigned as a result of a criminal court case. Contact the court that adjudicated sentencing to locate court-approved Community Service activities.
