The Water Wise Bay Cities Challenge is a friendly competition meant to inspire bay-area residents to conserve water. The Challenge is open to 20 cities in the Bay area (Southeastern Houston) and their residents.

How does it work?
Bay area cities' residents can take the pledge to conserve water here. Residents will be able to take the pledge on behalf of their city by clicking on the "Challenge" tab and selecting a pledge level based on the amount of water conserved per day.

What is the timeframe?
The Challenge will start on Feb. 23 and residents will be able to take their pledge until 12 p.m. on May 10. The winning cities and residents will be announced at the Galveston Bay Foundation's Bay Day event in Kemah on May 13.

Who will be the winner?
The three cities with the most pledges will be the winners (this will be based on the number of pledges submitted relative to each city's population). Through a random drawing, one resident from each winning city will be selected to win a prize.

What are the prizes?
Prizes include Moody Gardens family passes, as well as Artist Boat kayak tour tickets for four.

Take the pledge to conserve here.
