Tommy Echols has dedicated his life to faith, service, leadership and community involvement. From ministry and law enforcement chaplaincy to business ownership and civic services, Tommy brings decades of experience serving others and leading with integrity.
Tommy and his wife, Patty, are active members of Grace Church and Golfcrest Country Club. Tommy is a proud father of five daughters and grandfather to eleven grandchildren. Together, Tommy and Patty have built their lives around faith, family and community involvement.
Tommy graduated from Robert E Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, and later earned two associate degrees from Lee College. He continued his education by completing a Bachelor of Ministry in Christian Education and Psychology at Southern Bible College.
In addition to ministry, Tommy helped grow his father’s maritime business before launching his own company alongside his son-in-law. Their business specialized in transporting liquid petroleum products along the Gulf Coast from Mississippi to Brownsville, Texas. Under Tommy’s leadership, the company grew to include 50 pieces of equipment and more than 110 employees before the business was successfully sold in 2022.
Tommy served on the City of Pearland Planning and Zoning Committee for two years, helping guide responsible growth and development. He also served on the Board of Directors at Golfcrest Country Club for seven years, contributing to finance, drainage, long-range planning and fundraising initiatives.
Throughout his ministry career, Tommy has pastored churches in several Texas communities and helped establish policy chaplaincy programs in Sinton, Pasadena and South Houston. He has worked closely with law enforcement officers and their families by providing counseling, participating in ride-alongs, and supporting community outreach effort.
