City receives 2016 Community Rating System Recertification
The City of Pearland has received its 2016 Community Rating System Recertification. The Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Flood Insurance Program's Community Rating System is a voluntary incentive program that recognizes and encourages community floodplain management activities.

This November, help celebrate Municipal Court Week (Nov. 7-11) by showing appreciation for the dedicated court clerks, court administrator, bailiffs and warrant officers that facilitate the Pearland Municipal Court.

Progress made in Tom Reid Library Expansion Project
The Tom Reid Library has a new roof. The roof replacement is part of two supplemental projects to the library expansion - replacement of the existing roof membrane and installation of a fiber connection to City Hall to improve internet connectivity for both City and Library staff.

Pear-Scape painted pears revealed
Pear-Scape artists, sponsors and community partners celebrated the reveal of the initial set of 4-foot high painted pears before their official installation along the Pear-Scape Art Sculpture Trail spearheaded by the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Recreation Center & Natatorium Kidz Korner has new look and feel
The Kidz Korner at Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium has received a facelift. The 3-year transformation includd new foam flooring and interactive playsets that have replaced the previous basic features.

Bike Rodeo teaches youth safety skills

Fite Road construction bid awarded and approved

Water and sewer account customers experience enhanced customer service with new system
The City of Pearland has a long tradition of providing quality service. Keeping with this tradition, a new call distribution system has been implemented to ensure improved customer service to Pearland residents with water utility accounts.

Families will be gone fishin' at Kid Fish Fest
City of Pearland Parks and Recreation is partnering with Bass Pro Shops to host the annual Kid Fish Fest, an outreach program designed to educate and provide hands-on fishing experiences for children ages 3 to 16 years old.

Orange St. service center renovation design phase almost complete
The design for Phase 1A of the renovation of the Orange Street Service Center, which houses Public Works Administration, Fire Station 1 and the Parks Maintenance Division, is now 90 percent complete, with the design for Phase 1B following closely. construction administration.
